Sold is a 4-week youth ministry curriculum that helps teens reframe failure through the gospel. Using Scripture, life examples, and interactive small group discussions, this series equips students to see failure as a moment, not a definition, and to find their ultimate hope in Christ.

Week 1 – Failure Is a Result, Not Your Identity (Hebrews 10:11-14)
Intro: Sitting in the aftermath of failure often leads students to feel defined by it.
Truth: Hebrews reminds us that Jesus, our Great High Priest, has already perfected us in Him. Our identity is secure regardless of mistakes.
Takeaway: Failure is a result, not a definition.
Week 2 – Don’t Buy the Lie (1 Corinthians 12:12-18)
Intro: “I hate me because I’m not ___” is a trap many students fall into.
Truth: Paul teaches that every believer has unique gifts and a God-given place in His body. Comparing ourselves only distorts the truth.
Takeaway: Don’t buy the lie — trust God’s design for you.
Week 3 – Waiting Isn’t Failure (1 Peter 5:5-7)
Intro: Being put on hold can feel like rejection or failure.
Truth: Peter shows that humility before God positions us to be lifted up in His timing.
Takeaway: Waiting isn’t failure — it’s trust in God’s plan.
Week 4 – Hope Beyond Failure (1 John 3:2)
Intro: Repeated shortcomings can feel like destiny.
Truth: John assures us that when Christ returns, we will be like Him — perfect and complete for eternity.
Takeaway: Failure isn’t forever; hope in Christ is.
