Allegiant Series: 4-Week Youth Ministry Curriculum on Politics

Politics and activism can be divisive, but Jesus calls us to be citizens of His Kingdom first. In Allegiant, students learn that loyalty to Christ shapes how they participate in government and social issues. This four-week study helps teens pursue justice, love their neighbors and be a faithful presence without losing sight of the gospel.

Series Overview

This curriculum breaks down how the Kingdom of God influences every area of civic life. Each week explores a different facet of faith in the public square and equips students to engage conversations about politics and activism with humility, courage and Scripture.

What Students Will Learn

• Week 1 – Kingdom Over Country: Understand the difference between God’s eternal Kingdom and earthly governments (John 18:33-36) and learn where ultimate allegiance belongs.
• Week 2 – Justice & Mercy: God’s Kingdom comes down to earth not through policy, but through people (Acts 17:1-6)
• Week 3 – Love & Civility: Practice loving your neighbor well (Romans 14:14-17), discussing hot-button issues with kindness and empathy. Prioritize person over opinion.
• Week 4 – Faithful Presence: Learn how to influence culture through prayer, service and civic engagement (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12) in honor to God.
