There’s something magnetic about the early days of Christianity. In Acts, the church seemed alive with passion, unity, and purpose. Witnesses is a 4-week youth ministry curriculum through the book of Acts that calls students to live out their faith with the same boldness, compassion, and mission as the early church. By examining what the apostles saw, said, and did, teens will discover that they too are witnesses — not to something that happened long ago, but to the same risen Savior who continues to work today.
This series invites students to step into the shoes of the first Christians and rediscover what it means to be a witness. In Week 1, they’ll see how encountering the resurrection changed the disciples’ lives and why that truth still changes ours. In Week 2, they’ll learn that looking back to Jesus’ power helps us move forward in faith and obedience. Week 3 challenges students to be bold under pressure, reminding them that courage comes from experiencing the gospel personally. And Week 4 closes by showing how the early church cared for one another with radical generosity and unity — a model desperately needed in today’s culture of loneliness.
By the end of Witnesses, students will be inspired to live on mission: boldly sharing Christ, standing firm under pressure, and building community that reflects the love of Jesus.
Week 1 – Resurrection Changes Everything (Acts 1:8; 2:32)

Week 2 – Looking Back to Move Forward (Acts 3:4-7, 11-16)

Week 3 – Bold Under Pressure (Acts 4:13-21)
Intro: We admire people who thrive under pressure, but it’s hard to do it ourselves.
Truth: Peter and John stood boldly before religious leaders, rooted not in confidence in themselves but in their experience of the gospel.

Week 4 – Caring Community (Acts 4:32-35)
Intro: Loneliness is everywhere, but God designed us for community.
Truth: The early believers cared for each other with generosity and unity, reflecting the heart of Jesus and fueling the growth of the church.
