Life can feel like a minefield—one wrong step and things blow up. When relationships, plans, or dreams explode, many of us retreat into a “mine” mentality to protect ourselves. This series invites students to reject the posture of “mine” and pursue God’s Kingdom instead. Over three weeks they’ll discover the freedom that comes from open hands and hearts.

Series Overview

Week 1 – “Mine” Undermines the Kingdom (Matthew 6:9‑10) – Jesus teaches us to pray “Your Kingdom come.” Students will see that the Kingdom can’t come if we’re closed off. Clinging to “mine” in the minefield keeps us from participating in what God wants to do through us.
Week 2 – You Bring the Kingdom Down When You Give Your Kingdom Up (Matthew 26:39) – In His own minefield moment, Jesus surrendered His will to the Father. When we fix our eyes on God’s character instead of our own comfort, we are free to prioritize God’s Kingdom over our own.
Week 3 – The Reality of Your Past Won’t Last (Revelation 4:6‑11) – John’s vision of heaven reminds us that everything belongs to God and that He is worthy of all glory and honor. Knowing that our past and possessions are temporary helps us release the “mine” mentality and live generously.
