Spleck Series: 4-Week Youth Bible Study on God’s Call

Help your students follow Jesus’ example by stepping out of their comfort zone. The Spleck Series invites teens to see how Jesus left heaven to come near to us and now calls us to go to people who are different from us. Over four weeks, students will explore stories from Acts and the Gospels to understand their calling, rely on the Holy Spirit, and embrace God’s acceptance above human approval.

Series Overview

This four-week study challenges students to cross cultural and social barriers with the gospel and teaches them that God goes before them.

What Students Will Learn

• Week 1 – Jesus Crossed the Road (Acts 1:6‑8) – Jesus left heaven and came to us first. Students will learn that following Him means crossing barriers to share His love and serve others.
• Week 2 – You Are Not Alone (Luke 3:21‑22; 4:1‑2) – At His baptism Jesus was empowered by the Spirit. Students will discover that the Holy Spirit goes with them in every conversation and calling.
• Week 3 – No One Is Off Limits (Acts 10) – Peter learns that the gospel is for all nations. Students will be challenged to reach out to those who are different and overcome prejudice with grace.
• Week 4 – Acceptance Over Approval (Matthew 27:45‑50) – Jesus’ sacrifice secures our heavenly acceptance. Students will understand that God’s approval frees us to obey Him even when we’re rejected by others.
