Capped Series: 4-Week Youth Bible Study on Nehemiah

Help your students see that no opposition can cap God’s work. The Capped Series journeys through the story of Nehemiah, showing how God called an ordinary man to lead a rebuilding project against all odds. As your group studies the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s wall, they’ll learn to trust God’s promises, press through criticism, and live for His glory.

Series Overview

Each week explores a key aspect of Nehemiah’s story—capturing students’ imaginations and equipping them to lead with courage:

What Students Will Learn

• Week 1 – Nothing (Nehemiah 1) – Nehemiah is burdened by the broken walls and people of Jerusalem, but nothing can cap God’s promises from coming to pass.
• Week 2 – Critics (Nehemiah 4) – In the face of mockery and threats, Nehemiah trusts God and stays on mission. Students discover how to persevere when critics try to cap God’s promises.
• Week 3 – Guarding the Work (Nehemiah 9) – Your own sin may threaten to pull you away from what God has for you, but sin cannot cap God’s promises.
• Week 4 – Celebration & Renewal (Nehemiah 13) – When you discover your weaknesses, they try to become the main character of your story. But weakness cannot cap God’s promises from coming to pass.
