Resonant Series: 5‑Week Youth Study on Apologetics

Resonant equips students to know what they believe and why. This five‑week apologetics curriculum explores compelling reasons to believe in God and follow Jesus.

We may not have absolute 100% certainty that the God of Christianity exists, but the fact that gospel values resonate with every human being is a compelling apologetic for the veracity of Christianity. The values of sacrificial love, grace, adoption, and justice resonate with the deepest longings of our heart. It’s almost as if we were created to value them by someone who values them.

Along with the weekly sessions, we suggest an optional sixth week that acts as a Q&A Night. This lets students ask questions and hear thoughtful answers from leaders. Resonant gives youth pastors the tools to engage doubts and strengthen beliefs with gentleness and respect.

Series Overview

What Students Will Learn

• Week 1 – Marked (Colossians 1:15-16) – Students discover that we all bear the mark of our Creator, by whom and for whom all things were created. In other words, what resonates with Jesus resonates with us because He is the Alpha and Omega.
• Week 2 – Sacrificial Love (John 15:12-13) – The reason sacrificial love resonates with every human being is because we were created for it–because it resonates with our Creator.
• Week 3 – Grace (Matthew 7:3-5) – The reason we all crave being shown grace is because we were created to value grace–because it resonates with our Creator.
• Week 4 – Instrinsic Value (Galatians 4:4-5) – Students long to matter. The reason? Because it is hardwired in them by a Creator who says they matter and died to make it true.
• Week 5 – Justice (Romans 3:25-26) – The reason your heart breaks when you see injustice is because you were created by and for a just God.
